Introducing

Paula Selby Avellaneda

Paula is the owner and curator of Big Bang Faena, where she curates designers and gems from around the globe. She is also the fashion designer behind the bridal business House of Matching Colors. Paula, a native of Buenos Aires, relocated to Miami in order to launch the Big Bang.  While searching the globe for various items for Big Bang, Paula finds inspiration for her daily style. She collaborates with several designers on a daily basis, but she consistently finds herself wearing vintage or unidentified things. She enjoys discovering uncommon items that resonate with her and aren't available anywhere else. In order to discover new things, Paula and her friends constantly change out their wardrobes and clothes. They also frequently influence one another and introduce one another to new designers. Paula finds that playing with fashion, dressing up in different styles, and trying different trends inspires her throughout her day. Paula's mother introduced her to fashion when she was a little kid. She would bring block-print garments from Bali, which is how Paula discovered her love for wrap skirts and pareos, which she still wears today. The uniqueness of Paula's style is in the way she embodies her travels.
